'Modern Family' creator joins Judd Apatow, Seth MacFarlane in condemning Fox News

Over the weekend, "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane (a CT native and Rhode Island School of Design alum) tweeted that he was "embarrassed" to work for Fox because of "fringe s***" that aired on Fox News.

MacFarlane, whose animated "Family Guy" is broadcast on Fox TV, tweeted on Saturday that he was "embarrassed to work for this company", referring specifically to its connection with Fox News.

Public figures associated with 21st Century Fox are taking a cue from producer Seth MacFarlane and speaking out against Fox News, the media company's conservative news subsidiary.

MacFarlane took issue with Tucker Carlson on Sunday after the Fox News host said on his Friday program, "If you're looking to understand what's actually happening in this country, always assume the opposite of whatever they're telling you on the big news stations".

Instead, it merely gives them a vote on an unamendable statement, meaning their vote would have no legal consequences. The row centres on what happens if Parliament rejects the initial exit deal May and her team negotiate with Brussels.

Now other comedy producers in film and television who have worked with 20th Century Fox are following suit.

Seth MacFarlane just put his money where his mouth is when it comes to reporting the news. He then went on to condemn the company and Fox News. "How can you remain silent when they promote these policies?"
