Angry priest slaps baby who wouldn’t stop crying during baptism

The clergyman then tells the child to: "calm down, calm down, you must calm down". After several failed attempts, the priest smacks the baby on his face. In the video, the priest can be seen making a shape of the cross over the baby's body before he begins to cry.

As the churchgoers begins to murmur, he repeats: "There, you have to calm yourself, you have to calm yourself, there, there".

The priest, who is speaking French, is seen blessing the baby and the child begins crying.

The disturbing video, posted on Wednesday, has generated 245,898 views and 389 comments, but it is unclear where it was filmed.

Eventually, the priest grabs the baby by the chin and delivers a firm slap across the baby's face. I'll scream louder than you, okay?

Gal Gadot shares new shot from Wonder Woman sequel
Gal Gadot has given fans a better look at her return as Wonder Woman when the superhero returns for the highly anticipated sequel. Previously, Gadot and director Patty Jenkins put out two other first look teaser photos now that the sequel is actively filming.

"I'm trying to figure out why no one slapped the old man back", one person said. "I would have pulled baby away until he calmed down", another wrote. "I would have gone ballistic if that was any of my kids".

"I'm going to put water on the forehead, and after I'll embrace the little man, because he will become a little Christian", the elderly priest says in the footage.

Unbelievably, there were some commenters who defended the priest's actions. The clergyman soon held the child's neck and gave him a violent hug.

Another person said: "If that video would end with the father giving the priest a very strong bitch slap it would be ideal".
