The public is invited to a celebration of life for 25-year-old Prudhvi Kandepi, one of the Fifth Third Center shooting victims, on Sunday.

Streets around the building at the city's Fountain Square were closed as were sidewalks.

Almost three hours after the incident, several streets in downtown Cincinnati remained closed to traffic.

By the time one officer cracked open the door to the lobby, the gunman was on the ground, the body camera footage shows.

Cincinnati Police said officers believe Perez acted alone, but the motive for the shooting is not clear. He said one investigator warned it could have been "a bloodbath beyond imagination".

The city's police chief, Eliot Isaac, said the suspect was Omar Enrique Santa Perez, 29, of North Bend, Ohio, a Cincinnati suburb.

Austin said in a statement on Friday that she was thinking about how I can make a difference in the future'. Deters confirmed it was the suspect's residence.

Santa Perez had about 200 rounds of ammunition with him during the shootings, Issac said. "We're in the very early stages" of the investigation.

James Walker told CNN affiliate WLWT: "I heard about eight gunshots, and I actually got on my knees". Leonard Cain told The Cincinnati Enquirer he was going inside the bank when someone alerted him there was shooting. He said a woman also was walking into the bank at the same time, but she had her headphones on and couldn't hear their warnings.

Richard Newcomer, a contractor who worked for Gilbane Building Company, was one of three killed.

"How do you tell parents who live 10,000 miles away that they will never see their son again because of a senseless shooting in a foreign country?" she wrote. Two people who were shot fled to the loading dock, he said.

He wanted to come back to his children within another a year or so, she said, once he had saved enough money.

According to the description of a GoFundMe page, Calderon was a married father of two, a boy and a girl. "I can't put into words how grief-stricken we are", Cotter said. Two other victims are being treated at University of Cincinnati hospital. The wounded were listed there in critical condition and fair condition.

If it had taken longer to kill him, Perez could have killed many more people, Mayor John Cranley said.

Fountain Square is host to concerts, food trucks and many retail shops.

Perez is a US citizen born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, family members said Thursday.

He was not a current or former employee at the center, whose primary tenant is the Fifth Third Bank headquarters. "Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone caught up in this bad event", the statement says.
