JK Rowling reveals HUGE Harry Potter secret after 20 yearsMore

On Tuesday, the final trailer for the upcoming Fantastic Beasts sequel revealed that Nagini, Voldemort's pet snake in the Harry Potter series, was in fact previously a human carrying a blood curse that would permanently transform her into a beast.

Fantastic Beasts 2 is set in 1927, and Nagini is still able to transform back and forth from human to snake at her own will, although she knows her eventual fate. Perhaps Nagini, which Claudia described as an outcast and her only friend in the circus is Credence Barebone (played by Ezra Miller), eventually found solace in the Dark Lord.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is being directed by David Yates, from a screenplay by J.K. Rowling, and produced by David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram.

Because Nagini is ultimately a murderous snake who has little humanity to her character, members of the Potterverse have started calling out JK Rowling, accusing her of being sketchy with Asian characters.

Rowling's defence is not doing her any good either.

Iran warns U.S., Israel of revenge after parade attack
President Rouhani said the Unites States and Gulf states are causing bloodshed and threatened a thorough response. Khuzestan province also has seen recent protests over Iran's nationwide drought, as well as economic protests.

Earlier in the week, when fans began to tweet their reactions, J.K. Rowling gleefully responded, showing no surprise that people were shocked.

The series, alongside the original "Harry Potter" franchise, has been subject to criticism and debate surrounding the lack of inclusion of ethnic minority characters in the past. You can see the trailer that kicked off all this chaos below. To foil Grindelwald's scheme, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former Hogwarts student Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne, reprising his role), who may not be fully aware of the dangers he faces.

One of Rowling's latest tweet, however, said "naga" was a snake-like mythical creature of Indonesian mythology, hence the name "Nagini". It may not be Dumbledore making out with a dude, but it shows that Dumbledore had a deep and profound love for Grindelwald, and I think that's worth celebrating (even if Grindelwald is evil).

For those who are wondering what Maledictus and Animagus are, here are details about it.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is out in the United Kingdom on 16 November 16, 2018.
