Jose Mourinho trudges off after another depressing night at Old Trafford

Jose Mourinho has suggested he can not say what he really thinks about the situation at Manchester United because it only gives detractors in the media something else to criticise him about.

The 33-year-old, who reports said had fallen out with Mourinho, returned to the team for Tuesday's 0-0 draw with Valencia in the Champions League.

It is reported that Mourinho dropped the full-back for Saturday's 3-1 loss at West Ham after criticising him for not attending the match against Derby, with the pair said to be barely on speaking terms.

Manchester United have endured a similar start in the Premier League, now 10th after three wins, three defeats and a draw from their opening seven games.

Paul Pogba was stripped of the vice-captaincy and then criticised in training by Mourinho for his social media activity, which was captured by the Sky Sports News cameras. "I'm talking about players in general, players who get upset with the manager or coaching staff and think, "I'm not going to train properly because somebody upset me".

But Wales manager Giggs, in the Old Trafford crowd for that game, said United needed to keep faith with their boss. The problem of late has been of forward planning. They have taken just 10 points from their opening seven games, going four games without a win in all competitions.

San Francisco Giants vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Preview, Tips & Odds
Buehler will face a Giants team that had its best offensive showing against Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw on Saturday. Colorado flies to Los Angeles as one of the hottest teams in baseball, winners of nine of their last ten.

It would cost United a reported £12million to sack the three-time Premier League victor, which has left Mourinho feeling secure.

"The decision is up to the manager and you've got to respect it".

"You can fall out after the match, but when the game's going on, liven up, play with pride, play with energy, play with spirit".

"To me, it seems 50 per cent of that group of players are not really champing at the bit or enjoying their football".

"We left the hotel at six o'clock, hoping that 30 minutes would be enough", Mourinho said.
