Megyn Kelly’s morning show is reportedly over because of her blackface comment. More

"Megyn remains an employee of NBC News and discussions about next steps are continuing", said Bryan Freedman.

After "Megyn Kelly Today" aired a rerun on Thursday, rumors swirled that the host would be ousted from the network.

But let's be clear: NBC wanted to rid themselves of Kelly for the longest time and they seized on this gaffe as an opportune moment to do so.

The network said the anchor won't return to the program following racially insensitive remarks she made on the air this week.

Many of her former Fox News Channel viewers were upset by her perceived disloyalty in leaving and her clashes with Trump during the campaign. And whatever her next destination is, let's hope she'll go back to her roots and do what she does best; sharp, sometimes biting, political analysis. Another source who was not authorized to speak publicly was cited in the report as saying Kelly's representatives are scheduled to meet Friday with company executives and it looks "extremely unlikely" that she'll stay.

But her rocky transition to morning news showed just how hard it is to separate one's identity from the Fox News brand.

Trump says 'major tax cut' on the way for middle class
Trump has recently shifted his tactics, focusing on what he says are threats from immigrants coming to the United States. Congress temporarily cut the payroll tax by two percentage points under President Barack Obama in 2011 and 2012.

Kelly's time at NBC has been plagued by controversy and low ratings, as many industry insiders felt the former primetime cable news star was not a fit for morning television.

While at Fox, Kelly cultivated a reputation for toughness and a willingness to challenge conservative orthodoxy.

She also gained notoriety for insisting that Santa Claus was white and referring to a "thug mentality" within black communities that led to a hatred of police. Her three year contract - said to be worth $69 million- came with two shows: a weekday morning talk show and a Sunday evening newsmagazine. Beginning Monday, NBC will feature other "Today" anchors.

"I'm going to go as "F" and he's going to go as 'U, ' she said". "Megyn has used her show to give a voice to women in the #MeToo movement, not fearing the consequences, even if those people were in her own backyard".

"Megyn made a mistake, and she apologized for it immediately". In October 2017, Kelly ran into some early trouble on her show when she conducted an awkward interview with Jane Fonda. She also gave a platform to allegations against NBC News's Tom Brokaw, both of which stirred resentment among her NBC colleagues.

Theron will play Kelly in the movie, titled Fair and Balanced, which will focus on the women at Fox News who accused the disgraced chief of sexual harassment.
