Pogba celebrates with interim manager Solskjaer

Manchester United caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's familiarity with the club could be a big advantage as he embarks on a rescue mission, according to rival Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

The Norwegian replaced Jose Mourinho after the Portuguese was sacked after the 3-1 loss to Liverpool at the weekend.

The meeting with the Welsh side, where Solskjaer was manager in 2014, signals the crescendo to what has been a truly insane week at the club.

"He just stuck to concentrating and was delighted to be in with such a unique group of players". United could also move for Douglas Costa of Juventus (h/t Mirror), with the Brazilian struggling for starts at the Serie A club.

United are eight points adrift of the Champions League places but Solskjaer has not ruled out a charge up the table in the second half of the season.

"But these players are different from what he's used to, he's had the experience of Cardiff, but if you're starting to leave players out and it's not going well, I think that's something that will be interesting to see how he handles that".

The former Leicester midfielder says that on that basis and the squad he has to play with, Rafa Benitez has done a really good job to not have Newcastle in the relegation zone at this point.

A look at where the investigations related to Trump stand
Democrats, who are taking over the House in January, don't share that view and they want Cohen to testify before Congress. Trump compared his situation to one involving President Barack Obama's 2008 campaign.

"He told me to make them play football, enjoy themselves and be Manchester United".

Supporters have united behind Solksjaer, who has called on his players to express themselves and take risks over the next six months.

"I'm sure that is the same for all the players and now we are looking forward to the next game".

Ole knows Pogba since his young days so he will definitely know how to get the better out of the Frenchman.

It was a pointed remark given that, under Mourinho, United were towards the bottom of the league in terms of running stats and ahead of only Leicester, West Ham, Brighton and Cardiff. "It worked out well today".

In just one display under Solskjaer, Lindelof has filled United fans with hope, and they'll look to build on this result when they welcome Huddersfield Town to Old Trafford on Boxing Day.

'It doesn't matter what team you play, you should run more than them and then your skills will give you a chance to win the game'.
