In a new video, the Massachusetts Democrat, 69, says she is launching an exploratory committee, a process that allows Warren to publicly raise money and hire campaign staffers. And even some Democrats accused Warren of misunderstanding the complexity of race and identity. "Politicians look the other way while big insurance companies deny patients life-saving coverage, while big banks rip off consumers and while big oil companies destroy this planet".

"He raised a daughter who got to be a public school teacher, a law professor and a senator". "How did we get here?"

Warren's entrance into the contest to try and challenge President Trump in 2020 is a development he's likely to relish.

"America's middle class is under attack", Warren said in the video.

Tweeted Trump: 'Pocahontas (the bad version), sometimes referred to as Elizabeth Warren, is getting slammed.

In October, Warren took the rare step of releasing DNA test results examining her possible Native American ancestry, in apparent response to persistent criticism from President Trump and other Republicans.

Trump has yet to comment on Warren's Monday announcement.

The progressive star made the announcement via a four-and-half minute video in which she said, "Corruption is poisoning our democracy".

Warren still isn't officially running for president.

Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth reportedly got married
Later, on December 21, Liam was spotted strolling a Nashville shopping centre where he took some more pictures with fans. She added the date "12.23.18" in one of her posts, in which she is wearing a long gown and Hemsworth a suit.

Warren won her Senate seat in 2012, defeating incumbent Sen.

Warren, an architect of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau set up after the 2008 financial crisis, has been a strong voice in the US Senate on financial issues. Some two dozen Democrats are expected to run for president this cycle, including a number of women and candidates of color.

"That's not how government is supposed to work", Warren said. In a liberal state, Gov. Charlie Baker, R, got more votes than she did in November, and a recent survey in MA had her trailing former vice president Joe Biden and Sanders in a hypothetical 2020 matchup. Bernie Sanders and several other fellow senators likely to join the fray.

In an email to supporters, Warren said she'd more formally announce a campaign plan early in 2019.

It also suggested she had become too much of a "divisive figure", an apparent reference to the heavily publicized DNA test.

But, Warren said, regular people in American faced more hard challenges in 2018. Instead, her use of a genetic test to prove ethnicity spurred controversy that seemed to blunt any argument she sought to make.

Warren's website can be found here.

Formerly a professor of law at Harvard, the MA senator is considered to be on the liberal wing of the Democrat Party.
