Race relations remain tense in South Africa 25 years after the end of white-minority apartheid rule, with fierce racism-related controversies erupting regularly on social media and in politics.

In an effort to reassure parents that the children had settled in nicely, the teacher reportedly shared a photo of the class in the school's private WhatsApp group.

A picture showing about four black pupils seated separately at a desk from a larger group of white pupils at another desk, went viral on social media.

There is a small table of the class's handful of black students seated at the back of the class.

She continued that she contacted another parent to talk about the situation, and that parent subsequently got in touch with the school principal for clarifications on why their kids were separated.

"We did not accept that explanation", Lehari said. I am pi**** off.

"All I saw was messages from the white parents saying "dankie, dankie" ['thank you, thank you'] but no one was saying anything about the separation of the learners".

Another parent said: "This is the only white-dominated school in this town".

He said: " A goal can change things, but if he is to continue here, he needs to take on responsibility ". Gonzalo Higuain is open to a move to Chelsea FC this month, according to reports in the Spanish media.

"This is impossible so long as white people have power, what therefore is needed is to change the existing power dynamics such that black people can have dignity". White people will always see black people as inferior to them.

The union called on the North West education department to extensively investigate these allegations and to extend the probe to other parts of the province.

Some white parents on Thursday took their children from the school after protesters gathered outside.

An education official said: 'We are not sure whether is fake or real, if it's real we are condemning it, we say not during this era, we can not really accept it'.

But he said the blame must lie with the Government, which had 'neglected public and rural schools'. We can not allow the future of the children to be a risk because of a racist agenda.

The party said the deterioration in public schools was "directly leading the country to the apartheid era".

Dozens of people converged on the school to protest against what they saw as racial segregation.

The school has not responded to requests from the local media for comment.
