Trump mocks Elizabeth Warren with Wounded Knee reference over Instagram livestream

Native Americans and supporters are furious after President Donald Trump casually referred to the Wound Knee massacre, which killed hundreds of unarmed people, to make a racist dig at Sen. She drew some scorn for pandering by posting a New Year's Eve Instagram video of herself answering viewers' questions while swigging a beer in her kitchen.

As for the Instagram video itself, Warren staunchly defended posting it two days later, when reporters asked her about it as she made an appearance on Beacon Hill. "I'm glad you're here.' It's their house, he's supposed to be there!"

On Sunday, Mr Trump said the senator, a 2020 presidential hopeful, should have filmed a commercial "from Bighorn or Wounded Knee" in "full Indian garb".

US President Donald Trump is under fire for invoking one of the nation's worst massacres of Native Americans to poke fun at Democrat Elizabeth Warren.

Trump's tweet refers to the 17th-century Powhatan princess, as well as the U.S. Cavalry troop massacre of more than 100 Native American men, women and children in the late 19th Century.

'Not for sale' - No go for Marko say Hammers
West Ham reportedly have Bournemouth's Callum Wilson on their radar and he could become a priority if they lose Marko Arnautovic . He wants to go to a new market and challenge for titles. 'It is his great desire that West Ham accept the offer from China '.

Trump's tweets are troubling on so many levels, it's hard to even begin where to start - from mocking Warren's heritage and his use of the word "Indian" instead of the politically correct term Native American, to using the tragic Wounded Knee Massacre as a punchline.

Twitter users were quick to call out the President for racism and demand the Tweet be removed. He even joked in July that he would donate $1 million to a charity of Warren's choice if she took a DNA test and it proved that she has Native American roots.

This has not stopped Trump from hammering the senator from MA on her claims.

Native American leaders have called Mr Trump's past attacks on Ms Warren offensive and distasteful.

Warren, a former Harvard Law School professor, campaigned in 2016 with Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. But she was criticized by a leader of the Cherokee Nation for conflating a blood test with tribal affiliation.
