In the latest discovery, a prompt to setup "Hey Siri" for AirPods was found in the iOS 12.2 beta. According to a report by 9to5Mac, a now hidden setup screen suggests that new AirPods will be able to be configured to respond to "Hey Siri" voice commands without prompting them with a tap of your finger. Also, it's unclear whether Apple is waiting for AirPower to be ready before bringing AirPods 2 to market.

We recently heard that Apple released their first beta of iOS 12.2 and now it has revealed some details about the new Apple AirPods 2.

Apple has launched its first true wireless earbuds - AirPods, back in 2016 alongside the iPhone 7 and the 7 Plus devices.

Indeed, the introductory video for Apple's own 2018 iPhone keynote featured the protagonist using Siri hands-free with the AirPods.

The feature will certainly make it easier to talk to Siri while you're wearing Apple's headphones than it is now, and could pave the way for future voice-based features that might be coming to Apple's wearables in the near future.

The company is yet to announce anything definite about a new version of the AirPods. Other vendors should also launch similar products this year.
