Unlike the standard version of the game, PUBG Lite will be free-to-play for its lifetime. PUBG Lite will be a shrunken down version of the PC game created to run on older GPUs or even integrated graphics, and it will be available completely free. "The end result is a build that is playable even on computers and laptops utilizing integrated graphics". Beta players will do battle on Erangel, the original PUBG map, but more "maps and content familiar to PUBG players" will be added at some point down the road.

The current paid version of PUBG was released in early 2017 by the subsidiary of a South Korean company called Bluehole. Further, the new Lite version of the game also retains the same Solo, Duo, and Squad in TPP (Third-person Perspective) modes that many PUBG players are used to. The minimum specs include only 4GB of RAM, an Intel Core i3 2.4GHz processor, Intel HD Graphics 4000, and only 4GB of free hard drive space. The recommended spec is a Core i5 that runs at least 2.8Ghz, 8GB of RAM and a GTX 660 or Radeon HD 7870. At the time of writing PUBG Mobile Lite hasn't made it to India, but let's hope that PUBG Lite does make it to the country sooner.

You can check yourself by just clicking the Official Announcement of PUBG Lite Open beta version. While there are fewer maps, that's still a potentially large shrink in texture file size.

Serena Williams overcomes pre-match mishap to reach Australian Open quarter-finals
I haven't played the world No. 1 since I've been back, I don't think. "I really needed to elevate my game [after the second set]". Serena Williams has beat world's number 1 Simona Halep to reach the quarter-finals of the 2019 Australian Open .

That said, we can't imagine PUBG Lite will be limited to such a small playerbase for long. Integrated graphics is around 5-10% depending on how modern it is.

With such low specifications required, the question of just how bad the game may look is valid. Once PUBG Lite is live, it will certainly find its way onto work and school PCs as a productivity killer. The order and pace at which the new maps will be added to PUBG Lite wasn't addressed.
