Filipino-American actor Darren Criss won the award for outstanding performance by a male actor in a television movie or limited series at the 25th Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday night. She wasn't among Tuesday's Oscar nominees for either film. They are competing with the stars of superhero flick "Black Panther", historical dramedy "BlacKkKlansman", romantic comedy "Crazy Rich Asians" and Golden Globes best drama victor "Bohemian Rhapsody". The actor offered a passionate response to the most-asked questions castmembers received while promoting the film.

On his way to Screen Actors Guild Awards presented at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, he tweeted: "Being nominated alongside @antoniobanderas, Hugh Grant, Anthony freakin Hopkins, and Bill Pullman is a feather in my cap I could have never imagined".

Alda, 83, best known by far for his 11 seasons as Hawkeye Pierce on M.A.S.H from 1972 to 1983, has continued to work despite a diagnosis of Parkinson's disease, and said it's a more vital time than ever to be acting, with its search "to see life through another person's point of view".

The Amazon comedy series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel took a clean sweep of the comedy categories, winning outstanding ensemble, and outstanding actor and actress for Tony Shalhoub and Rachel Brosnahan.

It is also good news for Bohemian Rhapsody actor Rami Malek, who took out best actor in a leading role in a motion picture, the win cementing his race for Oscar glory against Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Willem Dafoe and Viggo Mortensen, who are all legitimate contenders.
