The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for wind between 8am and 9pm on Sunday, January 27, with Norfolk one of the areas included in the alert.

In a statement the Department for Infrastructure issued a warning to motorists: "Road surface temperatures are forecast to fall below freezing from early this evening and there is a risk of ice and frost on roads". The latest predictions is for a belt of cold weather to return after 48 hours of relief. A cold day with highs of 4 to 8 degrees in fresh westerly winds.

The weather will become increasingly unsettled and colder after Monday, Met Eireann says, and we can expect frost and wintry precipitaton.

Before that, Monday is forecast to be cold, but with quite a bit less snow than Tuesday.

Cloudy conditions and wintry showers are predicted for the night, with temperatures falling to as low as -1 in parts. Lowest temperatures will be around -1 to +2 degrees with widespread frost.

On Thursday a spell of rain, sleet and snow will gradually clear northward to scattered wintry showers. There'll be persistent rain in the west and southwest by dawn. Staying rather cold with afternoon temperatures of just 1 to 7 degrees in freshening easterly winds.
