She knows that you need a barrier, she knows we need border security.

'We can work out a deal, I know we can sit down and work it, if we just don't get any outside pressure, do what we need to do, and I feel the process as appropriators, House and Senate Democrats, Republicans - we can work something out'.

"I don't take anything off the table", Trump told the CBS News show "Face the Nation" in an interview broadcast Sunday, a week after a record 35-day shutdown of a quarter of government operations was ended. "It's being built, some of it's already been completed, in San Diego, if you look, it's been completed", Trump said.

Trump has repeatedly threatened to declare a national emergency on the border, which he says would allow him to transfer money from elsewhere in the government to build his promised border wall without congressional approval.

"She's - she's costing the country hundreds of billions of dollars because what's happening is when you have a porous border, and when you have drugs pouring in, and when you have people dying all over the country because of people like Nancy Pelosi who don't want to give proper border security for political reasons, she's doing a awful disservice to our country".

"We will be looking at a national emergency, because I don't think anything is going to happen", President Trump said of talks to fund the project.

"With Caravans marching through Mexico and toward our Country, Republicans must be prepared to do whatever is necessary for STRONG Border Security". Human trafficking. And we're going to have a strong border.

Pelosi, by her stand against the wall, is costing the country hundreds of billions of dollars, Trump said.

In defending the wall, Trump recited his usual list of talking points, claiming drugs are "pouring in" and that there are "people dying all over the country because of people like Nancy Pelosi who don't want to give proper border security for political reasons".

Pelosi said on Thursday, "There's not going to be any wall money in the legislation" to fund border security for the rest of this year. "I think the Democrats don't want border security".
