Gasol is going to the Raptors in a deal that also includes Jonas Valanciunias headed to the Memphis Grizzlies, according to multiple media reports.

The Toronto Raptors are reportedly finalizing an agreement to acquire Marc Gasol from the Memphis Grizzlies.

However, Gasol is averaging 15.7 points, 8.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists this season with his best asset being his elite passing skills, defensive ability, capable three-point shooting at 34.4 per cent.

The Memphis Grizzlies have signaled the end of an era, agreeing to trade franchise cornerstone Marc Gasol to the Toronto Raptors ahead of Thursday's National Basketball Association trade deadline.

Memphis sent Gasol to the Raptors in exchange for Jonas Valanciunas.

Gasol is slated to make $24.1 million USA this season and has a player option for $25.6 million next season.

Much of the freezing rain and sleet is expected to be northwest of the Boston-Providence corridor, it said. Punch three will be a flash or rapid freeze as temperatures crash Thursday night into Friday morning.

Despite the fact that his name was mentioned in trade rumors for some time during the lead-up to the deadline, however, 3 p.m. came and went without Conley getting traded.

It was flop-sweats time for Raptors fans and, even if they might not admit, for Ujiri and GM Bobby Webster and everyone else in the Toronto front office.

He can become a free agent this summer by opting out of the final year of his $25.5 million contract for the 2019-20 season.

Toronto's roster will be down 11 after the trade, meaning the Raptors will likely need to make a few more additions. Lowry told reporters at Wells Fargo Center after the game that he hasn't asked for a trade and that he wants to stay in Toronto to help the team win a championship.

They also lose Wright and Miles, the former a talented guy who does all the little things right but struggled to find a defined role on a deep team, and the latter a mercenary shooter who has unfortunately struggled this season to shoot.
