The Miami Dolphins are in desperate need for a starting level quarterback in 2019 after they traded former 1st-round pick Ryan Tannehill to the Tennessee Titans on Friday. Per Rapoport, the deal is a one-year contract worth $7 million guaranteed with a chance to move up to $12 million based on playing time incentives.

Tannehill now reunites with veteran defensive end Cameron Wake, who signed a three-year, $23 million deal with the Titans earlier this week.

In exchange, the Dolphins get a fourth-round pick in 2020 and a seventh-round pick in 2019. In Tennessee, Tannehill will back up starter Marcus Mariota.

In his last National Football League season, Kaepernick threw for 2,241 yards and 16 touchdowns. In 11 starts, he completed 64.2 percent of his passes for 1,979 yards and 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

Tannehill missed all of 2017 and missed five games in 2019 due to a shoulder issue. Now the Titans have multiple options, both for the short- and long-term. He hasn't played a full season in two years. He also ranks second all-time on Miami's career passer rating list, behind only Pennington (94.5) and ahead of Dan Marino (86.4).

It's no secret that the New York Giants need a new quarterback, not necessarily for this upcoming season, but maybe for next year, and Ryan Tannehill just left a team who could now intercept one of Big Blue's targets.
