There'll be no Blu-ray drive, which given it's not a 4K player like the drive in the Xbox One X is no great loss, and instead, all games will need to be downloaded onto the console directly.

The "Maverick" codename for the All-Digital Xbox One S was first revealed by Thurrott.com, and Windows Central originally reported that the console would launch sometime in mid-April or early-mid May.

Xbox has announced [email protected] Game Pass, a stream that aims to highlight indie games that are headed to Xbox Game Pass.

And it looks like this brand new, cheaper Xbox One console could be about to launch soon.

Prison time to take the shine off Nirav Modi
Raveesh Kumar, a spokesman for India's foreign ministry, said he welcomed the news of Modi's arrest. October 1st, 2018: The ED seizes around ₹6.4 billion of Nirav Modi's assets.

Of course, this news isn't official, so we can't say anything for certain. That said, we should be learning more about the existence of the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition in the very near future.

Windows Central points out that the image above has been recreated in Photoshop to protect its source, but all of the key details are still there.

Windows Central also suggests that this console will have the lowest RRP of all current models, although we don't have specifics on pricing.

Product photos received by the publication indicate the All-Digital system will be virtually identical to the existing Xbox One S, except without a disc drive and an eject button. The All-Digital Edition will be sporting 1 TB storage and comes bundled with Forza Horizon 3, Sea of Thieves, and Minecraft digital codes. The stream will also showcase games that are set to head to Xbox Game Pass. Rumours of a family of next-gen consoles abound, and Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has recently told employees that they will "go big" at E3 this year following the Google Stadia reveal at GDC this week.
