Gay journalist's incredible response to Israel Folau controversy

"To foster growth and progress we must be able to handle difference without the overarching threat of professional repudiation

"Israel has failed to understand the expectation of him as a Rugby Australia and NSW Waratahs employee is that he can not share material on social media that condemns, vilifies or discriminates against people on the basis of their sexuality", read a statement.

The rugby star has been laying low as backlash has grown over his Instagram post.

Earlier this week, Rugby Australia confirmed they intend to terminate Israel Folau's contract following an anti-gay social media post.

A spokesperson for England's Rugby Football Union said: "Rugby is an inclusive sport and we do not support these views".

'Following today's meeting the two organisations will update their respective Boards on the matter to consider next steps.

England number eight Billy Vunipola has defended himself for "liking" discriminatory comments made by Wallabies fullback Israel Folau on social media.

A former Wallaby now working as Rugby Australia's elite coaching director believes the Wallabies going forward would be stronger without Israel Folau in their side ahead of the Rugby World Cup.

Australia's Rugby Union Players Association issued the following statement after Rugby Australia's position was made public.

Falcon Heavy: SpaceX Faced Key Test In Launch Of Its Biggest Rocket
A standard Falcon Heavy launch costs $90 million, according to the company's website, compared to $62 million for the Falcon 9. Lockheed Martin built the satellite, along with a second one, for Arabsat as part of a batch of contracts worth $650 million.

"Rugby is a sport that continuously works to unite people".

Rugby Australia CEO Raelene Castle said in a statement: "In the absence of compelling mitigating factors, it is our intention to terminate his contract".

Vunipola said he had been told by three people to withdraw his apparent support to Folau's post.

Brumbies captain Christian Lealiifano said players have to be more careful about what they post on social media in the wake of Folau's controversial posts.

While Lealiifano wouldn't comment on Folau's situation specifically, when asked about players' social media use, he admitted everyone had to be careful when posting.

"I'm just excited about Joey's 50th game, back in front of our home fans in Canberra". Get excited about rugby in Australia and rugby in Canberra and hopefully we can get a good crowd tomorrow night. But in worldwide rugby I don't think he's been an outstanding player and I think we compensate around him, we have to pick different players in different positions.

"It's a lot better to be making good metres and getting involved in the game so obviously I'm happy with that but it's a team thing, on the back of team success comes personal success", Banks told AAP.
