Avengers: Endgame has broken the all time collection record of James Cameron's movie Titanic which happened to be United States dollars 2.187 billion.

In terms of worldwide collection, the Russo Brothers' IMAX-shot Avengers: Infinity War sequel has grossed $2 billion in just 17 days of the global release, reported Forbes. The movie has now crossed the milestone of Dollars 2 billion and has become the second highest grossing movie of all times.

Avengers: Endgame added another $145.8 million to the domestic box office total, easily taking the top spot again.

According to Forbes, 'Avengers: Endgame' has already minted $1.82 billion in worldwide receipts as it heads into the second week since its release, making it inevitable that it will zoom past the lifetime collection of its predecessor 'Avengers: Infinity War' ($2.05 billion) and 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' ($2.07 billion). That brings the film's overall haul to $2.189 billion, beating out Titanic on the all-time grossing film list (unadjusted for inflation).

Leading up to the race, Maximum Security held 8-1 odds to win the race and was widely considered one of the favorites to win. Two-time Triple Crown victor Baffert finished Improbable at fourth, Game victor at fifth and Roadster at 15th.

However, Avengers: Endgame doesn't need much help to be called successful at the box office.

Avengers: Endgame is the culmination of a decade-plus of Marvel films. It recently became the second highest grossing movie of all times, surpassing James Cameron's movie Titanic. While it took Avatar 47 days to pass $2 billion, Endgame did it in only twelve, which is a huge feat. After that, it's likely to get close to Avatar's earnings of $2.788 billion. But it remains to be seen if Avengers: Endgame will have the legs to take it down. It has now earned $103 million globally.

In fifth place, hanging strong in its ninth week out, was Disney's "Captain Marvel", at $4.3 million.
